Pizza Pizza Pizza
Our outdoor pizza oven is one of the most loved parts of the garden. Our community dinners bring hundreds together and we are proud to give away some of the best pizza you will ever eat (if we do say so ourselves).
We often get asked if our pizza over is available for hire. We love the idea of sharing the love, but because there are health and safety considerations (500-degree heat and open flames), and quite a bit of equipment to consider when catering, we instead offer two ways to enjoy pizza in the garden.
Option 1: A Fully Catered Pizza Event
If you are hosting a birthday party, or a corporate event, we can take all the work out of the event for you. Our team will prepare the dough (a three-day process, you will never taste better pizza dough), fire the oven, and cook fresh, wood-fired pizzas on site while you and your guests enjoy the garden.
Included in this option:
18 wood-fired pizzas, cooked on site by one of our team.
Three pizza flavours (Mushroom and Caramelised Onion, Pear and Blue Cheese, and Margherita. More info in the FAQ below.)
Salad and nnon-alcoholic drinks.
Exclusive use of the garden, outdoor kitchen and glasshouse
Cutlery, crockery and glasses
Trestle tables and bench seating (enough for 40 people)
Solar-powered festoon lights for evening hires
Outdoor games include: Giant Jenga, Giant Connect Four, Cornhole, Football goals and balls, Quoits (Ring Toss)
Note: Non-alcoholic drinks will be provided by us, but alcohol will need to be provided by you.
Cost: A $1,200 koha.
An optional upgrade for the adventurous type is a Master Chef pizza competition. We provide various ingredients, your guests build their own pizzas, we cook them, and everyone votes as the pizzas are served. The winner takes all the bragging rights.
Cost: $300 additional koha
Option 2: BYO catering
with a volunteer host
If a fully catered event is a bit beyond your budget, we have an alternative option. You bring your own bases and toppings and we will fire up the oven and provide one of our team to oversee the pizza cooking.
We can provide you with pizza dough instructions and our favourite recipes, or you can freestyle it all on your own.
Included in this option:
Use of the wood-fired pizza oven with one of our trained team on site for support and cooking
Exclusive use of the garden, outdoor kitchen and glasshouse
Two gazebos for shade and 3 giant outdoor umbrellas
Trestle tables and bench seating (for 40 people)
Solar-powered festoon lights for evening hires
Outdoor games include: Giant Jenga, Giant Connect Four, Cornhole, Football goals and balls, Quoits (Ring Toss)
You will need to provide the following:
Pizza ingredients including bases, toppings, sauce, cheese.
Any other food and drinks
Cutlery, crockery and glasses
Note: You’re welcome to forage a few herbs and veggies from the garden, just check with us on the day.
Cost: $400 koha (for hiring and contribution towards our volunteer)

Questions and Answers
-
No, there’s no public toilet inside Seine Reserve. The nearest public bathroom is a three-minute drive away at Beacroft Park (off Becroft Drive). For longer events you might choose to hire a portaloo, which you will need to arrange yourself.on text goes here
-
Up to 50 guests. Each trestle table fits around 8 adults. There are 6 available.
-
We have the following games available when you hire the space.
Giant Jenga
Giant Connect Four
Cornhole
Football goals and balls
Quoits (Ring toss)
You will need to set these games up when you arrive, and pack them up once you have finished.

One of the team will meet you on site to unlock the glasshouse, walk you through the space, and answer any questions. We will show you how to access the additional tables, games, gazebos, and umbrellas. We recommend you come at least 30 minutes before your guests to get the space set up, as this will be up to you.

Yes, BYO drinks are fine. We just ask that you keep things tidy, take your bottles with you, and keep things civilised. Our garden is close to neighbours, so please be respectful.
-
The garden, outdoor kitchen and main paths are accessible, and we host RECREATE (young adults with disabilities) regularly. In saying that, the ground to access is either grass or mulched paths, so you need someone strong to push the chair. The outdoor kitchen deck is one step high, but we have a wheelchair ramp which can be set up on request.
-
Yes, within reason. Have a chat with us at the start of your hire and we’ll point you to what’s ready to pick. Typically, we reserve the plants for those who come to our regular working bees, but snipping the odd piece of basil, or a few lettuce leaves, is fine.
-
Yes, gentle background music is fine. We just ask that you keep the volume neighbourly and wrap things up by 7 pm.
-
Yes, there’s on-street parking along Seine Road, and a large car park on Tiber Road, right beside the garden.
-
The glasshouse and covered kitchen area give you plenty of shelter for a smaller group, and the two gazebos help cover the rest. The outdoor kitchen is not fully waterproof, so we would recommend you reschedule if there is rain in the forecast.
-
Just email us as soon as you can. We’re a small team and we understand that life happens. We can accommodate date changes, or provide a refund if requested. Just flick us an email.

If you are choosing the fully catered option, our crowd favourites are:
Mushroom, Caramelised Onion, Feta, Thyme, Walnuts, and Truffle Oil.
Pear, Blue Cheese, Rocket, Pine Nuts, and Chilli Honey.
The classic Margherita with fresh basil and olive oil.
If you had other flavours in mind, let’s chat.
And if you are choosing Option 2 (BYO catering with a volunteer host), feel free to take inspiration from the flavours listed above.
